CR-1600 series converter racks are designed to accommodate up to 16 units of media converter modules at one chassis. Thanks to the hot swappable feature, network downtime can be eliminated. For better manageability, one can choose CR-1602 which comes with SNMP and web management capability as well as redundancy power.
Wide choice of converter modules are available for the converter rack For example, EM-C107A module type converter features Link Fault Pass Through (LFP) function which can enhance the TP-integrity and conformity. Link status on one port is propagated to the other port to notice the remote nodes. If TP port is unplugged, this converter stops transmission on fiber port. This causes the remote fiber node link to fail. LED shows the link failure on both TP and fiber ports. If fiber link fails, this converter restarts auto-negotiation on TP port but always stays in the link failure state. This causes the remote TP node link to fail. LED also shows the link failure on both TP and fiber ports.

This fast ethernet wall outlet switching converter is ideal solution for FTTH solutions. This converter can be fitted into existing socket base plates while optical fiber is inside the cable duct. Each converter comes with two 10/100Base RJ-45 interface and one 100Base fiber optic SC interface and is powered by external power supply (DC 5V, 1.6A). Each RJ-45 port supports 10/100Mbps auto speed negotiation.
