PoE Midspan

Power Over Ethernet (PoE) is a advanced technology which integrates both power and data on to same Cat 5e/6/6a cable, supporting up to 100meters. Thanks to this technology, it is not just to eliminate the need to install separate electrical wiring and power outlets, but also ensures continuous operation of remotely powering ethernet devices, such as IP phones, wireless LAN access points and IP cameras, when it is connected to a centralized uniterrupted power supply (UPS). Go4Fiber is pleased to offer Microsemi's PoE Midspan products, which are all complied to IEEE802.3af & IEEE802.3at. This global standard is for remotely powering ethernet devices over LAN infrastructure. The specifications of delivering power over ethernet cables are well defined in the IEEE802.3af & IEEE802.3at and such that PoE system contains a power detection mechanism to prevent equipment damage. Microsemi's midspans allow customer to upgrade systems to IEEE802.3af & IEEE802.3at without costly replacing existing remotely powering devices.
